Punk Pink

It has to be said. Pink is my favourite colour. No surprise there, right? What girl doesn't love pink in some way. Suffice to say, I get incredibly excited whenever I find something that sets off the pink in my hair and compliments any bright, in-your-face pink accessory. That's why I'm in love with this outfit from Torrid. First, let me address the dress. This dress is a gorgeous dark, turquoise floral-print dress that hugs the curves of my body in all the right places. The colour combination on this Torrid dress is absolutely gorgeous.

 

I felt that this dress was best-paired with these basic plus size black leggings from Torrid. I think these have been a staple in every girl's closet this year, am I right? They're amazing and go with absolutely everything! Now. Ladies. When you have your basics down, it's what time? Accessorize time! This is where I love to go a little wild and crazy and have fun with my outfit. Because of the demure, cool-tones of the dress and leggings, I felt that some hot pink would bring a little punk to my outfit. I took almost every hot pink accessory I own: a hot pink bow, hot pink cross earrings, a hot pink cross necklace, and finished everything off with a hot pink lipstick and nail polish (and of course the hot pink tips in my hair! But I always rock that accessory). Finally, I threw on some of my favourite rings that went along with the whole she-bang!

 

 

 

 

 I was totally in love with my outfit today! The dress from Torrid was extremely gorgeous (and comfortable, may I add) and I loved adding the little bit of punk with my hot-pink dipped hair and accessories. Totally worthy to walk the streets. And speaking of walking - ladies, I have a secret. I have big feet. No no, like - really. I have big feet. And not just big, but wide, too. I'm about a size 11 extra-wide. It's incredibly difficult for me to find shoes, and my favourite shoes to wear have to be cute black flats. They just go with everything, and they are so incredibly cute and comfortable. But it's so hard for me to find flats that are wide enough, that fit and are comfortable. That's why when I found these black flats with bows from Lane Bryant, I hit the roof. They are amazing, girls! So comfortable, so cute and the black bows are an extra little fashion detail that make the flats stand out. Paired with the bow in my hair, they tied up a perfect outfit-package!
